About The S File

When I was first learning about blogs from my brother, I immediately thought, “Wow — I have plenty of information to blog about!  And what a great way to organize all the information that I’ve been sifting through in trying to be a good parent.  An online organization of my notes would help me track important guidance on how to buy healthy products, be healthy, and to track other information that I otherwise keep in magazines and books.  This would also help me remember which products are currently my favorite, which was hard to remember because we try so many as we learn more information about toxins and health; and as more products enter the marketplace.  Also, this would more easily communicate my values to those who help me with my household….  And, maybe, just maybe this information might help others?”

Thus, “The S File” was born!  I have several websites that categorize content (such as Health, Pregnancy, Parenting, Running A Household, and there will be more!), and a “parent” site — The S File (the one you’re on now) — that will serve as a magazine cover (of sorts) to the rest of the sites, packaging and introducing content on the other sites.  I’m hoping this will allow readers to better skip what doesn’t interest them and better highlight what may enlighten them, or get them questioning.

Included in each site is a store, where I display most of our current household products (picked after much research and trial-and-error; the selection, however, is limited to what Amazon sells).  I do earn a small percentage (4%) of sales and I do not currently financially benefit in any other way from what I promote.  If I ever do, I will be sure to fully disclose that because I believe in full disclosure — transparency — in general, so that people have key information to make the decisions that are best for them.
